Post-Construction · Shenandoah Valley

Post-construction cleaning that makes the renovation actually feel done.

Drywall dust in the HVAC. Adhesive haze on the new hardwood. Shavings in the kitchen drawer. A newly finished home isn't a clean home - and the contractors aren't going to handle this part. We are.

What this service actually is

Post-construction cleaning is the clean that happens after the builder, the drywallers, the painters, and the flooring crew have all rolled out. What they leave behind is technically “done” but visibly not: drywall dust everywhere, painter's haze on the windows, adhesive residue on the cabinet fronts, sawdust in the corners, packaging debris, and a fine film on every horizontal surface.

We show up after all of that and return the home to the point where you can move in, or list it, or hand it to a client. It's not housekeeping work and it's not a regular deep clean - it's its own thing, with its own tools and products, and it's one of the most satisfying transformations we do.

We handle new construction, major renovations, additions, and whole-house refreshes across the Shenandoah Valley. Homeowners, general contractors, builders, and property managers all call us for this work. The common thread: someone wants the home presented the way it was designed, not the way it was left.

What's included

Every job comes with a clear, specific scope - no vague “we'll clean” promises. Here's exactly what a standard post-construction cleaning job covers:

  • Fine drywall dust removal from every surface and crevice
  • Adhesive haze removal from hardwood, tile, and fixtures
  • Painter's haze removal from windows and mirrors
  • Cabinet interiors vacuumed and wiped (kitchen and bath)
  • Drawer interiors vacuumed and wiped
  • All appliances cleaned inside and out
  • Floors vacuumed, mopped, and hand-polished where needed
  • Inside window ledges cleaned
  • Light fixtures, ceiling fans, and vent covers
  • Baseboards hand-wiped, corners detailed
  • Construction debris and packaging removed
  • Final walk-through with general contractor or owner

Need something added? Just ask when we walk through before we start. Every job is customized to your home.

How it works - from the first call to the walk-through

Four steps from booking to done. No surprises, no upsell pressure, no “that'll be extra” on your way out the door.

Site assessment and quote

Post-construction pricing depends on square footage, scope of the original work, and how “rough” the site is. For larger jobs we do a quick site visit to scope the work; smaller jobs we can quote from photos.

Coordinated with your GC or builder

We coordinate directly with general contractors, builders, or project managers so the clean slots into the right spot in the project timeline - typically after the punch list but before the final walk-through.

Larger team, specialty equipment

Post-construction work requires bigger teams and specialty equipment (HEPA vacuums, shop vacs for debris, specific adhesive removers, fine-dust cloths). We come staffed and equipped for the scope.

Walk-through with the owner or GC

We end every post-construction job with a walk-through. Any detail items get fixed on the spot. Photos on request for project documentation.

Why Valley neighbors choose Lambert for this

Every cleaning company in the Valley claims to care about quality. Here's what actually makes our approach to post-construction cleaning different:

We've been doing this since 2012

Post-construction isn't an afterthought for us. We've cleaned hundreds of Valley renovations, additions, and new builds. That experience shows up in the details that less experienced crews miss - the dust in the door hinges, the adhesive on the bottom of the cabinet kickplate.

Licensed, insured, and bonded

Post-construction sites carry more liability than a typical home clean. Lambert carries full general liability and workers' comp, and we're comfortable working alongside other trades. GCs know we won't be a problem on their site.

Every crew member, same standard

Even when we send a bigger crew for a post-construction job, every member is a W-2 Lambert employee. Not day laborers, not temp agency staff. All background-checked, uniformed, and trained to the same standard - just more of them at once.

Coordinated timeline

Post-construction cleaning has to happen at the exact right moment - after punch list, before the client walk-through. We slot into the project calendar and communicate directly with your GC or project manager so nobody is waiting on cleaning to close the job.

The difference, before and after

Photos from real Valley homes are on their way. For now, here's what to expect: a visible, photograph-worthy improvement that your neighbors will notice.

Questions we get asked a lot

When in the construction timeline should I book cleaning?

After the punch list is done and before the final client walk-through. Scheduling before the punch list means dust and debris come back. Scheduling after the walk-through means the client sees the mess first. Ideal window is usually 24 to 48 hours before hand-off.

Do you work directly with general contractors?

Yes - we do a lot of work with Valley GCs, builders, and project managers. We coordinate the timeline with your project calendar, invoice the GC directly if preferred, and walk through the finished work with your project manager or the homeowner.

Can you handle a rough clean before the final clean?

Yes. For larger projects we sometimes do a rough clean after drywall and before paint, then a final clean before hand-off. Pricing for multi-visit projects is bundled so the total cost works out better than booking them separately.

How much does post-construction cleaning cost?

Square footage is the main driver, followed by how “dusty” the site is. A simple kitchen remodel is very different from a whole-house renovation. Use our quote form or have your GC reach out - we'll give you a fair number for the actual scope.

Do you clean inside the HVAC ducts?

No - that's a separate duct cleaning service from a specialty vendor. We clean and vacuum the HVAC returns and supply registers (which is important because construction dust settles there heavily), but we don't clean inside the ductwork itself. If you need that, ask your GC for a referral.

Can you come the day of the walk-through?

Usually yes, for a compact job. For larger projects we'd rather schedule the day before so there's time to handle any issues before the client arrives. We can be flexible - tell us your timeline and we'll work backwards from it.
